my Ps3 wont play anything from disc!!!!

so i have tried all the blu rays and all the games i have got and nothing...the loading icon appears in the right hand side but it just stays there and wont go...the game/movie never becomes available to play ***** can i do!!!

I would have phoned sony the second a disc wouldn't play

Same thing happened to mine (was still covered under warrenty). I phoned sony they said they would probably have to replacer the laser, they picked it up on a Thursday and I had it back on a Tuesday.

 

Would of liked to try the possible fix posted above.

cheers for replying...i tried the reformat and stil nothing so i rangthem up and they are comming to collect i got to hand to playstation their customer support is top notch ^.^

 

and yes it is a 60gb ps3

I had that problem a month or more ago. Our system is much slower since in here I had to take it to back to the store from where it left to get repaired. Then pick it up couple weeks later. Don´t see any reason for it taking so long since they clearly said they won´t repair it but change the console.
