I was part way through Ch. 2 with Leon and I got the message that the data was corrupt and I need to delete the game data. What's this all about? Please help, it seems a lot of people are having this problem and it keeps happening after erasing and reinstalling.
i had this issue also. before you delete the game just go to your "game data utility folder " find re6 data and delete it. the patch itself is corrupted. DO NOT DELETE OR UNINSTALL THE GAME its uneccessary. the game will play from the last save point. Also until they fix the patch do not download the 1.01 version thats why the game crashes. happy gaming!!!!
just had the game data is corrupted. please exit the game and delete re6 game data screen pop up. had just finished saving the plane in chapter 4. after the crash in china cinema scene is where it popped up. really sucks too. whever a new game comes out, please try your games out on your own systems and work out all the bugs instead of rushing it. ive also had plenty of server timing out problems while trying to invite someone to a private co op game. it even gave me the same problem when i wanted to play on my own while on the network. usually i have to play offline. come on capcom
I had the "Corrupt Data Error" in Chapter 2 of Leon's Campaign. I deleted the game data (not the save data) in order to get back the original version (1.0) and it works! I don't lose any of my progress, only the map of Mercenaries that came with the pre-sale. I redeem the code again, disable the internet connection (in order to disable the request for update) and it's all right. Shame for the on-line gaming though...
It's annoying you can't have more than one saved data on 1 account. But I managed to save my data on another user (on the same playstation) .Although you can't really start from that saved data on that user. but i'm still able to copy it back onto my original account.
i did this after i once again got a corrupted data and had to delete (on a different chapter). so i deleted it, i did NOT reinstall.
so i just switched over to my other user, copied it over to my original account and it worked!! so i just lost that data i did that day. i know it's a hassle doing this everytime you want to save something but my solution does work for me.
Think i'm going to do this with all saved games. Stupid that i have to though! =(
I had the same problem.
''GAME DATA IS CORRUPT PLEASE EXIT THE GAME AND DELETE RESIDENT E EVIL 6 GAME DATA'
Solved problem by not deleting the save data, but instead deleted the utility game data in the PS3 menu (found above save data files).
And now it works fine. :)
Experienced the same problem at completing chapter 1 of Jakes campaign do you know if the uninstall of the original data effects the coop game play as I play with my wife and son .
Just delete the game data NOT the memory and do NOT do any updates for the game. You can't play online but so what...better then not being able to play at all.
