Worth it?

I bought this game when it came out... It's still in the cellophane wrap. I never really got that hyped about the game, but it just seemed like the game to buy at the time - with the 200+ online players and what not. Was it that good? Good enough to keep? Or shall I depart with the thing and try and get a little money back?

Re: Worth it?

Its not that bad, I played it for a while and there are tons of people playing I just found it got repetitive once I got the kits I wanted. There's also a lot of really good players out there so I get my ass handed to me more then I would like so I moved to BFBC2 for some fun.

Re: Worth it?

I think its defo worth giving it a try, for me personally its my favourite game online at the moment and has been for quite a while.

If you do try it you will probably find it hard at the beginning but stick with because it really improves when you start leveling up and unlocking more skills and weapons.

Re: Worth it?

No, it is not worth it. There is too much going on, that much happening you don't know what the hell is going on. The maps are bad, some so bad a layout there is hardly any vantage points any where to get any decent kills. I am experiencing one bad session after another, it's not so much as being good player, you just cannot see what is going on there is that much stuff happening at once, not to mention few players are only on the game not to play it but to use the voting options to vote players off. I just experienced being leader, I am quite new to the game here so I am not that familiar as to what to do when being leader though have been voted twice on one session to be kicked off. In not being leader i have been voted to be kicked on most of the sessions I have played so far. The maps are too greeny/brown, jungle like, making kind of difficult to see exactly where the enemy teams are, the handling on weapons just plain suck. That's my opinion..

Simple solution!!!!!

Follow the FRAGO's your S/L sets nothing else matters really your part of a bigger picture if a target of oppertunity comes along demolish it otherwise follow the FRAGO's.....

Theres always fools who want to kick every leader just because they disagree with your tactics!!!!!

Sometimes there right other times there wrong....

Re: Worth it?

Firstly, before I say anything, there are still a lot of people playing this game so there must be someone who enjoys it & good luck to them. I recently bought this game for £15 in the bargain bin at ASDA & can honestly say it is the worst shooter I have ever played. You're constantly being sniped, shotguns seem to be too effective from quite a distance, pumping round after round of ammo into someone only to be killed by them etc. There is just no fun to be had from constantly dieing & not being able to kill anybody. I'm definately not a great player but a KDR of 0.3 is pretty pish poor even by my standards. I was hoping this game would do me until BF3 came out but I cant bare to play it another minute. worst £15 I've spent in ages.

I  can honestly say that with all the time I have put into this game, playing as all three PMC's I have never had any of these issues at all, treat the game as a run and gun FPS then you will get owned. You need to take your time playing with MAG and think about what your doing a little bit, plus if you can get into a good squad that really helps as well.

I think "dspug" has a point but not about it being the worst shooter!!!!!!

We've all been sniped during our time playing this game but if your stopped still for to long in the open or in  window/gap your asking to be killed....

The problem is ppl use the sniper rifles like a assault rifle :Shame:

If they had made the sniper rifle so you could'nt use it scoped under 200m there would'nt be so much of a problem...

As for the shotgun its a CQB weapon if your health is already down yes you will die from a shot from it from further afield.....

The main thing you seem to have glossed over "dspug" your new to the game which is'nt a bad thing but remember theres a lot of players here who have ranked up & been in all the factions & have all the kit & weapons!!!

As you progress you will get better equipment & get to learn the maps & there weak points to exploit..

For the money you would get from trading-in or selling it, you might as well keep it. Give it a go! It's a good game once you get into it and figure out what's what.

You might as well pull that seal off and join some of the guys on here for MAG Mondays.

One thing I will say though, buy the Escalation pack if you do like it and plan on keeping it. It adds the best wepons in the game and everyone seems to use them. Seems so unbalanced without it.

Maybe, another thing to remember is that MAG isnt a game where you really need to worry about your KD ratio, its all about completing the objectives and helping your squad, if by doing this you die a few times then so be it, you get more points for sticking to the objectives than you do looking for kills.
