My Thoughts on MAG and General Advice!

Hello all,

Well, im sure most of you are enjoying MAG, and really got stuck into it.

However, im sure there's a few of you wandering if you like it, or hate it.... and probably wandering around the massive battlefield saying to yourself ''Ey, what am i doing?''

This post here is just to tell you what my honest thoughts are on the game and just a little bit of advice to some newcomers to the game, or players playing on their own!

I mean, its a big world out there, with lots of flashing stuff on your screen and only one way to win a game.. and that's teamwork. Well, it doesn't help when your in a squad of random people and no teamwork is being used right?

Now earlier, i was playing MAG with around 7 other TNW members (www.thenightwatchmen.com)... and here is what i found:

i don't think MAG is perfect or that much FUN when your playing on your own, and especially when there's no talking/communication going on.

i think MAG is at its best and at its true potential when playing with a group of people you know! (And making use of your mic)

For instance, earlier, there was 8 of us, took a whole squad up... and it was Brilliant! There was teamwork, communication, laughs, banter, and it was a brilliant time!

For 25 mins we defended without a problem because any time the enemy got near...

one of us would shout:

''3 coming in left'' ,

''Coming up the stairs'' ,

''Sniper far left, near the back''

ECT.....  (You get the picture.... Working as a team!)

Just general teamwork and we were brilliant!!

Plus, you had 1-2 snipers, had 1 medic who was prepared to not go for kills but to run around looking for people shouting ''MEDIC'' down the mic!

MAG is obviously at its pure brilliant best when played with a group of you, with headsets... Having a laugh but at the same time working as a team!

i would recommend anybody, who has got this game..... to add people and get together as group from  these forums, (Clan ect) and jump in a game together..... and then you will realise how good it is a TEAM!

Now, you may not want to play as a team, or with anyone,... and just the play the game but im simply here, just letting people know.... MAG, is at its best when played as a group! Without Dout.

Take time to learn the game modes, maps, rules.... ect... Buttons and then start working as a team.... Its great fun, produces some good times, good banter etc.... Just get stuck it fellas :smileyhappy:

P.S Anybody looking for a clan for MAG, Socom, Battlefield and any other PS3 games, Simply visit www.thenightwatchmen.com and sign up to the forums, join in on the daily discussion from football to video games :smileyhappy:

Thank you,

Lewis

Medics can win or lose a battle. Thats what i've discovered. Especially on Domination taking an objective.

Re: My Thoughts on MAG and General Advice!

When you are attacking, please...please...pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry, check to see what your squad roles are. If you notice that you can't kill someone without being flanked, it might be because three or four squad mates are lying prone at the spawn camp...very frustrating when assaulting. On medics: the medical kit, I dare say, is the single most important item in the game. Theoretically a squad of demo-tards at lvl 8 could certainly turn the tide. 99% of the time I resusitate than shoot, regardless of circumstance, the reasons are many. 1) strength in numbers. 2) builds moral and trust. 3)for the sweet experience and ribbons. 4)because having the initative and occupation is the name of the game, and for every dead team mate you have (spawn time) + (travel time) before you have support again. On strategic placement of vehicles. The best thing you can do if you see a lone guy in a vehicle turret is repair the vehicle. Unless i can verify over a mic, i leave it alone. Theres nothing more anoying(except witnessing a medic hurdle over your dying corpse) than setting up shop with a vehicle to hav3 some noob jump in an drive you into an open, vulnerable position and abandon you. That or never settle down and give you a platform to effectively cover a position. lastly, keep in mind that avatars clip. This means you can not pass through eachother, and the problem, as I see it is two-fold. 1) It is possible to inhibit a pathway. I've had to back track and waste valuble time because some selfish idiot wouldn't shift 3 feet and open a path. 2) this has a dynamic quality, where if a teammate is fireing down a corridor or hall expecting to past back to safety to reload or heal, you cn inadvertantly block him in. If a sniper is prone near a corner as well give them some room. hope these tips help. see ya on the battle field.
