Re: The forums have had an update!

I don't like it. Would be better if the posts were wider and post count and badges were back under the avatar.

Re: The forums have had an update!

I think that's a good idea. perhaps more settings/hide option?

Re: The forums have had an update!

Browsers that rely on cache data to increase speed of browsing Aka chrome/Safari. Will need a manual browser cache delete. The automatic update may not happen for hours.

Re: The forums have had an update!

This feels more like a downgrade than an update.

"Downdate" isn't a word, is it?

The explains it. Cheers Graphite :smileyhappy:

Edit: Cleared the cache. It's now working.

Brings to another thing. When you set up the Portable ID, you have the option of using one without Trophy info, isn't this by-passed in this hover over function?

Is there a need for the recent topics/announcements on the right hand side of every single page?

Good question.

The reason for this is when people search for the answer to a question on Google, they are directed directly to a thread and quite often miss out on content that may of also be of interest to them.

ultimately though, for those who have set their posts per page to more than i have will have acres of barren wasteland to the right hand side of the page. its bad enough for me and i've only the default post setting. even reduce the borders on either side of the page so that you guys could still have the annoucements section but our posts would have a bit more breathing space...

Oh, the hover thing works now I've done that. :smileyhappy:

Still hate this change, though.

Re: The forums have had an update!

The added features are acceptable (some even welcomed), the 'squishing' is not.

Just stretch it back and all will be fine.

(If you want googlers to be able to see things like announcements, then maybe hide it and stretch the width for people who are signed in?).

i like this idea. i actually like most of the changes as you've said, the only thing is the squishiness of it, i really dont know how this passed as acceptable tbh...

Or put the announcements at the top. Sure there'd be a tiny bit more scrolling but we'd get our width back and be able to breathe again so to speak.
